SUMMARY:Practicing partnership: co-production and boundary spanning in rural Alaska
DESCRIPTION:This event has been postponed. Further information will be provided here soon. \n\n\n\nThis 4-hour dialogue will bring together UA graduate students\, staff and faculty to discuss the nuts and bolts of implementing co-production and boundary spanning frameworks in research. Elizabeth Figus will describe details of her experiences with co-production research. Participants will be invited to discuss their experiences and plans for future work. \n\n\n\nAttendees will walk away with more tools in their toolboxes for future work. Graduate students will gain insight into what it might look like for them to do this sort of work during and after graduate school\, what they should know\, and how to get the support they need.

SUMMARY:Extreme Precipitation in Southeast Alaska: Visualizing Climate Modeling with a Storymap
DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Zav Grabinski and Richard Lader\, International Arctic Research Center \n\n\n\nLearn about the latest precipitation models for southeast Alaska in a visually captivating format. These models\, a product of the 2022 ACCAP Workshop “Drought and Extreme Events: Building Collaborations to Enhance Data\, Decision Making\, and Adaptation Planning in Southeast Alaska\,” anticipate an increasingly wet climate interspersed with extreme drought episodes. Join us to explore how future climates might unfold\, illustrated through intricate 3D visualizations from the StoryMap: “Precipitation Extremes in Southeast Alaska: Drought in the Rainforest? Visualizing Precipitation Models in a Rapidly Changing Climate.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresentation PDFDownload
