Elizabeth Figus
Elizabeth Figus is a social scientist specializing in environmental and fisheries management. She has worked in coastal communities and fisheries for eighteen years as a researcher, commercial fisherman and analyst. Her consulting firm provides ACCAP with professional and technical assistance related to environmental research, marine and coastal fisheries, and research co-production.
She completed a postdoctoral fellowship with ACCAP studying co-production in climate change research. She is a founding member of the Kake Climate Partnership, which was formed in 2020 between the Organized Village of Kake, Kake Tribal Corporation, the City of Kake and ACCAP.
