VAWS: Communicating Forecast Uncertainty in Alaska: Tools and Techniques for Leveraging Ensemble Forecasts

This VAWS presentation will explore the philosophy behind why we communicate uncertainty in the forecast and address some misconceptions about the deterministic weather forecast in general. It will also cover some of the most useful tools available for quantifying uncertainty around the forecast as well as some of the best practices and caveats in using them.
