Introduction to IARPC: Collaborating to Enhance Arctic Research

The Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (IARPC) brings together leaders from 18 federal agencies, departments, and offices around shared Arctic research priorities. IARPC also supports IARPC Collaborations, a platform connecting federal and non-federal researchers, Arctic communities, and other partners to work together on pressing Arctic research issues.

This webinar will provide an introduction to IARPC followed by a series of short lightning talks offering a sampling of the research, collaboration, and community engagement happening across the program. Together, these lightning talks will provide a quick look at the breadth of work underway across IARPC and highlight opportunities for researchers, communities, and others to connect, collaborate, and get involved. Hear from IARPC team and community of practice co-leads working in: Terrestrial Ecosystems, Permafrost Community of Practice, Arctic Systems Interactions, Coastal Resilience, Technology Innovation and Application, Tribal Consultation and Effective Processes, and Risk Management and Hazard Mitigation Collaboration Team
