2013 breakup flooding

Overview of the 2013 breakup season which is remembered for the catastrophic flooding along the Yukon River, and less extreme flooding along the Copper River. This outreach report is a part of ACCAP’s historic extreme events library of weather and climate events that significantly impacted Alaskans. These materials were created by Caroline Erickson, an Alaska Fellow at ACCAP during winter 2023/2024, with guidance from Rick Thoman.
